The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is a qualification aimed at candidates already working or preparing to work in an industry that has identified, within the Company’s risk assessment, necessary provision of First Aid. Persons gaining this qualification will know that First Aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment. Its’ topics are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace.

This course is delivered in a classroom environment over one day.

This qualification is intended for learners working in any environment, including retail, manufacturing, food premises, and the care environment. It is also suitable for learners who are returning to work or for those starting work for the first time. Learners gaining this qualification will know that health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, including contractors, visitors and supplier. It covers the importance of health and safety in the workplace, common hazards and risks and the requirement for workplace procedures.

 

This course is designed as an effective addition to your health and safety induction programme for staff working at all levels. Our course can be tailored to meet your requirements and that of individuals whilst retaining the structure framework for the successful completion of the multiple choice exam which concludes the course and leads to the nationally recognized certificate.

 

The Level 3 Health and Safety course takes 3 days to complete, and is classroom based. Employers are responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions and the right systems and methods for safe activities. However employees also have a vital part to play in the equation. This qualification provides a thorough understanding of health and safety, focusing on the importance of monitoring staff and controls. It also emphasises the need for a structured management approach to health and safety and the key factors in implementing a health and safety policy.

 

This regulated qualification is designed to introduce the principles of risk assessment. It covers why risk assessments are necessary, the legal requirements relating to them and simple processes for carrying them out.
